The XSR700 may be retro looking, but it’s not a retro clone. (No faux carburetors or cooling fins here.) The XSR700 proudly displays its modern liquid-cooled 689cc crossplane parallel-twin and “diamond-type” single-shock steel frame. Another noticeable change that sets this bike apart from the MT-07 is the more relaxed ergonomics. The XSR700 offers a slightly more relaxed handlebar, seat, and footpeg relationship. But with antilock brakes, cast aluminum wheels, and a modern liquid-crystal display, the XSR treads into the past without sacrificing its versatile and modern MT roots.
Of course, this bike went through our top-flight preparation before it was rolled out on the showroom floor. That means it has been Fully Serviced, Safety Checked, Road Tested, Maryland Inspected, and Meticulously Cleaned & Detailed.
