Data collected from the IMU and wheel speed sensors enable a high-tech suite of rider aids including a four-mode Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS), front wheel Lift Control System (LIF) and a two-mode Brake Control System. Each of these systems can be turned off and Traction Control, Slide Control and Lift Control can have their levels of intervention adjusted to preference.Lightweight CF Die-Cast Aluminum FrameThe MT-09 SP features an advanced, lightweight aluminum frame refined to showcase the MT's signature agility. To ensure both straight-line stability and handling performance, the balance of longitudinal, lateral and torsional rigidity are all carefully considered and finely tuned. The frame is manufactured using Yamaha's groundbreaking controlled fill (CF) die casting technology which contributes to its light weight.High-Spec SP SuspensionPremium SP-exclusive suspension brings Supersport-level handling and precision to the Hyper Naked class. The 41mm DLC coated KYB® forks and O–hlins® rear shock feature a higher spring rate offering outstanding stability during more spirited riding.
