David's Take 50 Years on Two Wheels Every once in a while, we get a motorcycle at Erico that I can recommend with a little more confidence than usual because I know not only the motorcycle, but the person who owned it. This 2017 Ducati Monster 1200 R is one of those bikes. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of riding it up Squaw Pass with the original owner of this Monster. There's something special about sharing a great Colorado mountain road with someone who genuinely loves and appreciates his motorcycles. And when you know the history of the bike you're selling, it makes the story even better. The Monster 1200 R is a very special Ducati. With its 1,198cc Testastretta V-twin producing 160 horsepower, it was the most powerful Monster Ducati had ever built when introduced. But what I appreciate about this motorcycle isn't just the horsepower. It's the combination of that wonderful big-twin torque, the wide handlebars, and the precise, connected feeling you get through the chassis. It's muscular, responsive, and full of the character that made Ducati famous. The R version takes the Monster concept to another level with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, Brembo M50 brakes, lightweight forged wheels, and an aggressive riding stance. It's a serious performance motorcycle, yet it retains the upright ergonomics and everyday usability that make the Monster such an enjoyable street bike. On roads like Squaw Pass, that combination makes a lot of sense. What makes this particular motorcycle especially appealing is its history. It has had one owner from new, just 6,431 miles, and we have its complete service records here at Erico Motorsports. In fact, the same gentleman also owned the beautiful 2017 Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversario #48 of 500 that we're offering. These are two very special Ducatis from an owner whose enthusiasm for the brand is obvious. Finished in classic Ducati Red, with its exposed trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, and unmistakable Monster silhouette, this is a motorcycle that still looks every bit as exciting as it rides. After nearly 50 years on two wheels, I've learned that finding the right used motorcycle is about more than the year, mileage, or specifications. It's about the machine, its history, and the confidence you have in what you're buying. I know this Monster. I've ridden with its owner. And I'm genuinely excited to see it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as he did. — David Goodman General Sales Manager Erico Motorsports Nearly 50 Years on Two Wheels 2017 Ducati Monster 1200 R RedBe seducedSleek tailpiece lines grab the eyes with their sporting looks. 160 hp delivered smoothly by the R power unit charm the ears with their racing accent. The Designer wanted to communicate the top performance of the Monster 1200 R with a sport, compact and light design to create the image of an individualistic model, almost single-seat. The rider and passenger seats group (still using a single-seat solution) is visually short and narrow delivering an elegant sportiness. The tail and the passenger seat cover show a razor volume characterized by strong and marked surfaces. The side view of the seat is compact, and thin. The rear frame is completely new, with a light structure design. The passenger foot pegs support, are separated and directly fixed to the sub-frame. The high-mounted license-plate holder made in
