The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is one of those adventure bikes that immediately feels lighter and more capable than it looks on paper. From the rider’s seat, it feels narrow, balanced and easy to control, which makes a big difference whether you are riding through traffic, carving a mountain road or heading down a dirt trail. The 659cc parallel-twin has a great combination of smoothness, torque and character. It is easy to manage at lower speeds, pulls strongly through the midrange and has enough top-end power to make highway riding and passing effortless. The engine feels lively without being intimidating, and it suits the personality of the bike extremely well. What impressed me most is how well the Tuareg handles when the pavement ends. The bike carries its weight low, the suspension has plenty of travel, and the chassis feels composed over rough terrain. Standing on the pegs feels natural, and the bike gives you the confidence to explore roads and trails that would feel like work on a heavier adventure machine. On pavement, it is just as impressive. The riding position is upright and comfortable, wind protection is good, and the bike feels stable at speed while still being quick to turn. It is genuinely enjoyable on twisty roads, which is not something every adventure bike can claim. Aprilia also gave the Tuareg a very useful electronics package, with adjustable riding modes, traction control, engine braking settings and cruise control. The technology is there to help, but the bike still feels simple, connected and mechanical underneath it all. The 2023 Aprilia Tuareg 660 is a great choice for the rider who wants a true middleweight adventure bike that can comfortably handle commuting, touring, mountain roads and legitimate off-road riding. It is light, versatile and far more capable than most people expect until they actually ride one. 2023 Aprilia® Tuareg 660Best in class technologyTechnical solutions designed for performance and feelingIn an industry bound to the compromises of all-terrain riding, the Tuareg 660 charts a new course, offering benchmark performance in all conditions and authentic adventure equipment. That's the magic of the Aprilia 660 platform - lightweight, intelligent, complete and tremendously effective.
