As standard: ready for off-roading
The fully adjustable suspension with spring travel of 8.2”/7.8” is designed for off-road use. With a ground clearance of 9.4”, even larger obstacles pose no problem. The flat bench seat allows for freedom of movement when standing, while the tank geometry offers the perfect place to rest your knees when riding off-road.
Off-road upgrade: Enduro Package Pro
The R 12 G/S is the only BMW Motorrad bike to feature an 18” rear wheel. Off-road tires, enduro footrests, a large engine guard, 0.8” handlebar risers, hand protection and a longer side stand round out the package. The additional ENDURO PRO Riding Mode offers optimal off-road performance.

The basic structure consisting of the engine, single-piece tubular spaceframe with a bolted rear frame, flush suspension strut and redesigned engine peripheral equipment provides the basis for an enjoyable ride. With the three riding modes, RAIN, ROAD, and ENDURO, you can adapt your riding experience to suit your preferences.
