River Valley Power and Sport originated from the vision, determination and perseverance of its’ founder and owner, John Wooden. John started out small with a lawn business in 1996 and continually evolved the business model to include retail by adding outdoor power equipment and power sports lines. After many successful years in the retail business, John and his wife Carrie, who both enjoyed the boating lifestyle, made the decision to add the marine niche to their retail offerings. With Minnesota being the land of 10,000 lakes-it was a natural fit! The industries top lines and brands were acquired, locations were added and the number of employees grew, until ultimately, the RVPS family of customers became what it is today! River Valley Power and Sport now operates 6 physical locations, 2 marinas and sells some of the marine and power sports industry’s leading brands.
