At the heart of the KLX®300 ultimate lightweight dual-sport, is an enduro-inspired 292cc engine, fuel-injected and liquid-cooled for consistent performance even when the action heats up. This DOHC 4-stroke engine boasts a strong low- and mid-range, with exhilarating top-end pulling power. Power delivery is smooth and throttle response is crisp throughout the rpm range making this the ideal machine for a variety of riding situations. For added comfort especially in heavy traffic, the innovative radiator fan directs hot air down and away from the rider, improving rider comfort. Electric start offers easy starting; fuel injection helps with reliable starting in a wide range of conditions and contributes to improved fuel economy.

The KLX®300 highly versatile motorcycle exhibits agile maneuverability whether on- or off-road thanks to a slim, lightweight perimeter frame. The caster angle (26.7°) and short wheelbase contribute to quick handling, while the high rigidity of the frame ensures straight-line stability. Long-travel suspension is trail-tuned and offers 10 in of travel up front and 9.1 in in the rear. The 43mm inverted cartridge-style front fork has adjustable compression damping to optimize fork performance for conditions and personal preference. The Uni-Trak® rear suspension offers bump absorption, compression and rebound damping adjustability, and fully adjustable preload, allowing riders to tailor shock settings to personal preference. Substantial braking power comes from a powerful 250mm petal disc and twin-piston caliper up front and a 240mm petal disc and single-piston caliper in the rear. Strong dual-sport performance is further enabled with a 21-in front wheel and 18-in rear wheel.
