Description
Ducati has introduced the all-new Monster 2026, a complete redesign built around an 890 cc V2 engine. This twin-cylinder unit, equipped with variable valve timing, delivers 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm, with more than 80% of torque available between 4,000 and 10,000 rpm.
The chassis features an aluminum monocoque frame, paired with a twin-sided swingarm inspired by the Panigale V4 and a rear subframe constructed from a combination of steel and reinforced polymer, keeping the dry weight down to 175 kg.
Suspension duties are handled by Showa components, including a 43 mm upside-down fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is managed by a front Brembo system with 320 mm discs, a radial master cylinder, and M4.32 calipers.
Rich in technology for its class, the Monster 2026 features ride-by-wire electronics and a 6-axis IMU. It will be offered in Ducati Red and Iceberg White color schemes, in both standard and Monster+ versions—the latter adding a windscreen and passenger seat cover. Both versions will also be available in a 35 kW A2-compliant configuration.

Beyond service, Motoworks Chicago also serves as the city of Chicago’s only authorized BMW, Triumph, Ducati, and Vespa dealer. The road from there to here has been one hell of a ride. More on that story is can be found on our blog: Ten Years of Motoworks Chicago.
