Universal Motors of Clearwater was founded by Peter Nichols over 40 years ago in 1979 as a one-stop shop for European car sales and repairs. In 2008, we expanded our sales and service to include Vespa and Piaggio motor scooters from Italy - quickly becoming the Tampa Bay area's #1 Vespa dealership.

Peter continues to run Universal Motors of Clearwater / Vespa Clearwater, alongside his son Matthew, daughter Christine, and the shop dog / star employee, Nugget.
