Advanced Six-Speed Sequential Transmission With its industry-exclusive six-speed Yamaha Auto Shift Technology, drivers can choose between three transmission modes through a convenient dash-mounted dial: AUTO a fully automatic mode for more relaxed driving; SPORT AUTO a more spirited, fully automatic mode that holds gears longer and shifts at higher RPMs; and SPORT SHIFT a traditional manual sport shift offering drivers full control of shift points through steering-column-mounted paddle shifters. Additionally, a low first gear improves low-speed performance, while the enhanced close-ratio gearing helps keep the engine in its optimal power band.
