Attention VINTAGE Enthusiasts!

Vintage BMW enthusiasts, whether they’re riders or collectors, are facing tough odds these days finding suitable bikes to purchase. It stands to reason; these machines are now 60, 70 or more years old, and the demand for them has exceeded supply for decades. SO — when a good one such as this comes along, it’s a big occasion. And the best part? Well, because it’s a BMW — brilliantly engineered for simple, sturdy reliability — it’s still a viable, running machine that’s as much fun to RIDE as it may be desirable for its historic value. If you’re looking for a bike that will take first prize at the concours or be a perfect specimen to put in a museum, this probably isn’t the best choice. More on that later. (Oh, by the way, for that bike be prepared to pay at least another 20 Grand!) But, if you want one that basically looks correct, runs right, feels good, and will totally deliver the authentic Vintage BMW riding experience that earns a big, ear-to-ear grin every time, THIS 1962 R60/2 is as good as anything you’ll find — and way better than most! To learn more, call 1-888-269-2627 to speak with one of our BMW Certified Sales Advisors — Jim, Todd, or Paul. Do it SOON!

You will be pleased to learn that the previous owner of this motorcycle already invested quite a lot in its refurbishing. Many parts have been replaced and extensive service work was performed as recently as November of last year here at Bob’s. And now, we’ve done even more maintenance to prepare it for resale. This includes carburetor rebuild, top-end reseal, full fluid service, seals replaced, wheel bearings and shock bushings replaced, many rubber parts renewed, and much, much more. When you come to inspect the bike in person, please ask for a detailed service report. As a result of all that has been done to it, the bike's present condition is EXCELLENT! All its running components are in good order, and the bulk of its bits that may have been previously rusty, incorrect, broken, or just worn out, have been renewed. The pictures speak for themselves: this motorcycle is super clean, its paint lustrous, parts true to period look, and it will win your heart the moment you look at it.

Here is a list of some of the notable FEATURES on this motorcycle — things that contribute to the value, the practical functionality and mechanical durability, or the aesthetic appeal of this fine machine.
• Pagusa Solo Seat
• Rear Fender Rack (repro) with Pillion Pad mounted (repro)
• Bumm Headlight Mirrors
• Chrome Headlight Protection Ring – a desirable accessory
• Several stainless-steel replacement parts: Handlebar Risers, Wheel Spokes, Pushrod Tubes, numerous Fasteners, etc. – items that replace the original chrome-plated ones notorious for being rusty and pitted
• Alloy Deep Oil Pan — larger capacity
• Modern Exhaust System – accurate replica
• Denfeld Folding Passenger Pegs (later style)
• Fiberglass Front Fender (repro) – original steel fenders are commonly dented or rusty
• Frame repainted with durable Powder Coat
• Recently installed and still FRESH Heidenau Tires

We should point out that the presence of reproduction parts on a vintage bike should not be considered a downside. When originals are either unobtainable or cost prohibitive, repro parts are often the only choice. More importantly, replica parts these days are frequently as good as, and sometimes better quality than originals! Especially when one intends to RIDE and ENJOY a motorcycle, as opposed to winning prizes or simply boasting of its “value,” repro parts are the smarter choice. The parts chosen for this bike are of the highest quality and true to original specs as much as possible.

To conclude, we can all agree that vintage BMWs, especially ones of this exceptional condition, will NEVER go out of style! We can promise that you will continue to get pleasure from this one for as long as you own it. Contact Bob’s right now to learn more.
