As with all PROJECT BIKES, we want buyers to know as much as possible about the bike before making a purchase. This bike starts, runs, and goes down the road well. And it initially passed Maryland Safety Inspection, defying most of the reasons a bike is called a PROJECT BIKE. But then... during our final test ride, the ABS unit failed — an unfortunate coincidence. (We are glad, though, that it happened while WE were riding it and not, say, when a new owner was on first ride home!) Our techs made some preliminary tests in hopes of finding a quick resolution to the issue, but to no avail. An intermittent fault and ABS warning lamp persists which means the ABS system will need some more involved intervention to fix. Another issue of much less consequence is that the bike idles a little rough. Still, however, considering all the plusses this machine offers, we feel it is an outstanding opportunity. We are, of course, very happy to answer any and all further questions you may have about the mechanical condition of this bike.

As you can see from the photos, this bike looks quite good. We gave it a quick wash, but it has NOT been deep cleaned or detailed, so you're seeing the real-life results of its previous owners' good care. There are only a few minor injuries to note: scratches on the mirror housings, little dings on the lower surfaces of the valve covers, and some superficial scuffs on the side cases — typical signs of tip-overs. It is nothing more than the normal wear found on a bike of this age. The sharp Titan Silver Metallic paint once again proves its remarkable resilience to age and miles Enhancing its value even further, this PROJECT BIKE includes some neat extra stuff. There is a very comfy, taller Custom Seat, a Cee Bailey's taller Windshield, and Bob's BarBAX handlebar riser extensions which place the handlebars higher and further back for a more comfortable riding position.
